What is a digital TV recorder?

A digital TV recorder (DVR) is just like a video casssette recorder (VCR) that doesn’t need tapes. A DVR records video to your hard drive. You can do things with a DVR you can’t do with a VCR, like pause live TV, quickly jump ahead or back, or watch one of your recorded shows while recording a different show.
